How to Conduct the First Introductory English Lesson with a Student / Greeting
Hello, dear friends and English teachers. Today I will tell you how to conduct your first cool successful lesson so that your student remains with you for further successful fruitful cooperation. First, acquaintance.

At this stage, there is a greeting of you and your student. It is important to determine the student's psychotype in accordance with his temperament and age. Pay attention to how your future student expresses his thoughts.

Is he an introvert or an extrovert? What does he strive for? You need to be attentive to the details and to his previous experience, history of learning the language, how he sees the process of learning the language, what area he works in and how it will help him in his profession or education of English. At the same time, it will help you to understand what direction your future course will have and where you will need to develop your circle of vision to prepare lexical material and in what direction to direct conversational practice in the future. Second, determine the student's goal in learning the language, where he wants to be and at what specific time.

Third, tell about yourself and your experience, methods of work, approach. Demonstrate your work results and successful cases clearly, if it is possible. Prepare a presentation with a description of your system in advance.

Conduct a student test on all skills, this is important. Determine the current level as the starting point A and tell how you plan to bring the student to the desired result in point B. Fourth, conduct a short interview with the student about interests, hobbies and hobbies, according to which you will build a plan of your study. Use MindMaps, as I will show you next.

All this will help you to build a general idea about the direction of your student's study, approach to it personally. There is no one specific working system for everyone. Improve your system individually for each student.

Then success will not make you wait for a long time. Be attentive to the requests of your student. Build a trust credit right at the introductory lesson.

Listen to him and ask clarifying questions. Show your interest in his pain and promise to close it. Enhance faith in his abilities and his strength on the way to the result.

At the end of the lesson, there should be no doubt that you are the very mentor with whom he feels confident, easy and fearless. Conquer him with your charisma, charm him with openness and smile. Joke where appropriate and create a trusting, friendly atmosphere.

After all, it is with you that he will spend a significant part of his free time. Remember, it is the first meeting and the first impression about you that is the key to further successful cooperation. But even if the acquaintance was successful, I want to note that you should always follow your inner feeling.

If you feel internal discomfort, doubt or you are uncomfortable in the field of a person, listen to yourself. After all, you have a long-term cooperation and a long way together, full of ups and downs, efforts and mistakes. It is at this stage that it is better to say no and refuse.

And how? This is a different topic. Remember, you are a specialist to whom they come but first of all you are a human being and you are free to choose. Create a community of people which you will be happy and successful in.

This is the success of a cool teacher.
